Alas, there is something to celebrate about for us with a sweet tooth! No more fanciful musings and dire cravings for the most popular doughnut line from America, Krispy Kreme is coming to Manila! The Max’s Restaurant chain will be opening the flagship Krispy Kreme outlet on Nov. 30 at the City Center in Bonifacio Global City. They will be opening another outlet at SM Megamall before the year ends. It is so timely for the holiday season, a definite good treat. For more updates check it out here. This really excites me, and I am drooling for this goodness! I can’t wait to line up and grab it, still warm and freshly off the oven. Yum!

I believe there are a bunch of locals who can relate to my unfilled hunger for the famous Hot Doughnuts which are unfortunately unavailable to the local market until now. Most people akin to such desire, often request their friends and relatives- whether balikbayans or taking short trips abroad, to purchase a box of this light, aromatic, yummylicious, baked to goodness doughnuts that you will be eager to sink your teeth into and your lips you wish to cover with its glaze, as a pasalubong. Never mind the imported clothes, chocolates, cosmetics, perfumes and other stuffs that you can actually take a hold of locally. Just come back home to Manila with a box of the delicious doughnuts in your hands and surely you will be appreciated. That is, if it is for me! It is such a privilege to take munches of these doughnuts from time to time. But most often my desire for the delicious treat is left unquenched, with no one to hand carry a box of these baked, fried and glazed to flavorful perfection for me.
Ahh, soon those lip-smacking flavored doughnuts will pay homage to my rumbling tummy! (*grins*)
